TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Illinois State women's basketball team dropped a defensive battle to Indiana State 59-44 Friday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED
A defensive challenge was presented in the Hulman center tonight as the Sycamores held Illinois State to its lowest scoring half this season. The Redbirds trailed 21-18 at the conclusion of the second quarter with the sole five points coming from Simone Goods. Goods converted three at the charity stripe and added a layup for ISU, leading the Redbirds at halftime with nine points.
The Redbirds could not find a way to lead and fell behind in the second half, falling to the Sycamores 59-44.
