NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State women's gymnastics team hosted Winona State in their third home meet of the season Friday night at Horton Field House, and the Redbirds were dominant in a 192.275 to 186.825 defeat of the Warriors.
The score was the second-highest team score of the season for the Redbirds and head coach Bob Conkling was impressed with his team's effort.
"I was happy with our final score and it was our second-highest score of the season," Conkling said. "I was particularly impressed because Sarah Fisher was out tonight and it's always difficult when you have a gymnast like Sarah missing, who has our best floor and vault scorer throughout the season.
