HUNTINGTON, W.V.-- The Illinois State women's tennis team (5-4) cruised past Radford University (1-3) of the Big South Conference by a score of 4-1 on Saturday, February 22 inside Brian David Fox Tennis Center.
In doubles play, the Birds picked up wins from freshman Emma Lindh (Malmo, Sweden) and Elena Jankulovska (Skopje, Macedonia) at No. 2 by a score of 6-0. Junior Nuria Sanz (Valencia, Spain) and freshman Nicole Iosio (Cordenons, Italy) battled to a 6-2 win over Stephens and Murphy of Radford University.
In singles play, Illinois State collected four total wins.
