WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Six members of the Illinois State swimming team competed in a long course meter time trial, hosted by Purdue, Sunday.
None of the six were able to meet cuts for the U.S. Olympic Team Trials or U.S. Swimming Summer Junior National Championships, but a total of 10 lifetime-best times were recorded.
Illinois State head swimming coach Scott Cameron felt the trip was a great experience.
"It's always fun to go long course meters at the end of the season," said Cameron. "Seeing the girls swim fast and put up lifetime-best swims was great, too.
