NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State Redbirds out-scored Truman State 48-29 in the second half to overcome a 15-point second-half deficit in a 74-68 win over the Bulldogs.
Zach Copeland scored a team-high 18 points, making 6-of-13 shots from the field while adding five rebounds and three assists. Jaycee Hillsman had a 12-point, 11-rebound double-double in his first game in a Redbird uniform, with Dedric Boyd scoring 10 points.
Three others – Abdou Ndiaye, Antonio Reeves, and Rey Idowu – scored at least eight points, with Idowu pulling down 10 rebounds.
