CARBONDALE — A late bucket by TeTe Maggett lifted the Illinois State women's basketball team to a 68-66 Missouri Valley Conference victory over Southern Illinois on Sunday afternoon at SIU Arena.
The win was the fifth straight for ISU, giving the Redbirds an 8-5 mark in MVC play and 15-9 overall. The 15 wins are the most for an ISU women's basketball team since the 2012-13 season.
Simone Goods was 11-of-14 from the field and ended with 24 points in just 23 minutes of playing time.
Maggett added 14, including the game-winner, and also contributed three rebounds, two assists and a pair of steals.
