NORMAL, Ill. – After sweeping the MVC Indoor Track & Field Championships for the first time since 1997, the Illinois State men's and women's track and field teams will look to carry their crowns into the outdoor season when they compete in the 2018 MVC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Indiana State, in Terre Haute, Indiana, on May 11-13.
Heading into the weekend, both the Redbird men and women sit as the unanimous favorites per the MVC pre-championship polls. The men, who are seeking their first outdoor Valley title since 1999, received a perfect 81 points.
