COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Illinois State track & field program completed the Dr. Rick McGuire Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
The men's 4x400m relay team made up of Nwagwu, Welch, Paul, and Ward broke the Illinois State school record with a time of 3:10.90. The Redbird's mark is the fastest in program history since 2018.
In the men's 3000m, Illinois State saw three Redbirds climb the program's top-10 list. Senior Zack Loomis moved to fifth all-time with a time of 8:07.54. Junior Yusuf Baig entered the top-10 list at seventh with a mark of 8:10.
