NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State Gymnastics team officially opens the 2020 season at Horton Field House against New Hampshire on Saturday, Jan. 4 at 5 p.m. Admission is free to all home gymnastics meets.

"We are excited to kick off the 2020 season at home against New Hampshire. Some minor injuries have changed our line-up this past week, but we are confident that everyone on the team will step up and be confident in their abilities to compete and do their best on their routines."

The Redbirds are led by head coach Bob Conkling, who begins his 16th seasons for the Redbirds … ISU returns 13 gymnasts from last year's squad and welcomes three true freshmen to the roster … the team placed second in the MIC Conference Championship last year … returning senior Gabrielle Cooke earned MIC All- Conference 1st team on vault, beam, floor and all-around and recorded a season best 39.
