NORMAL — The Illinois State football team moved up in both FCS national polls on Monday after a 40-27 victory over Northern Arizona.
The Redbirds rose two spots to No. 8 in the American Football Coaches Association rankings and from 15th to 14th on the STATS list.
The AFCA continues to rank North Dakota State first and South Dakota State third. Northern Iowa in seventh and Youngstown State at 20th give the Missouri Valley Football Conference five ranked teams.
