NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State baseball team will partner with the American Red Cross to host its 12th-annual blood drive, Dec. 9 in the Redbird Room at Redbird Arena. The blood drive will take place between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
"Since 2005, Illinois State baseball has helped raise 469 units of blood and our goal this year is to increase that total to 500 units," said Illinois State head baseball coach Bo Durkac. "Because one unit of blood can save three lives, we would have a hand in giving the gift of life to 1,500 people over an 11-year period if we can reach that number.
