ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Illinois State's Andreas Boers earned a spot in the quarterfinal round of the ITA Midwest Regional Championships on day two of the tournament in Ann Arbor, Michigan
"I could not be more proud of Andreas who, much like yesterday played composed, but high energy tennis and beat a guy who was #1491 ATP," head coach Mark Klysner said. "We will try to keep things rolling tomorrow when Igor and Andreas both continue in the singles draw."
Boers defeated Marquette's Luis Heredia Gomez, 7-5, 3-6, 6-3, to advance to the quarterfinal round of singles.
