NORMAL — Even the new bats in the Illinois State baseball team's lineup are old, according to Redbirds coach Steve Holm.
Adding transfers Kyle Gibson and Graham Mastros to a strong core of returning hitters has ISU optimistic for the upcoming season that begins Friday at Western Kentucky.
“Ultimately, we’re not really running out very many new pieces,” Holm said. “It’s just that they might not be old in our uniform.”
