How did your time as a student-athlete prepare you for this crisis? Do you see any similarities between being a part of your Redbird team and your department or healthcare team now?
My time as a student-athlete prepared me to adapt to an ever-changing schedule and environment. I learned in some of the hardest times that your team is what helps gets you through and it is no different in my current work environment. Due to the higher demand for healthcare during this crisis, I am being cross-trained to work in an area outside of the Operating Room which will force me to adapt to new teammates and to a new role for myself.
