NORMAL — Keith Fisher III knows he won't take the basketball court in a real game for at least a year. Yet Fisher realizes he can make an impact on Illinois State's program immediately.
Fisher, a 6-foot-8, 215-pound power forward who was a redshirt freshman this season at San Jose State, became the latest transfer to join the Redbirds on Tuesday.
While he will have to sit out games this upcoming season per NCAA rules, Fisher will be allowed to practice with ISU. The Los Angeles native can't wait to square off against Phil Fayne, Milik Yarbrough and the other Redbird regulars.
