PEORIA, IL – A postgame head-shaving party has become a rite of spring for the Bradley Baseball team and the symbolic gesture once again will help bring awareness to the team's fight against pediatric cancer.
For the fourth consecutive season, Bradley Baseball is joining the fight against childhood cancer by raising awareness and funds for the Vs. Cancer Foundation. Immediately following Saturday's noon game versus Robert Morris-Springfield at Dozer Park, the Braves will participate in their annual head-shaving party in the center field picnic area.
Working in partnership with the Vs. Cancer Foundation and Children's Hospital of Illinois, the Braves have raised more than $30,000 through their first three years of participation in the fundraising program.
