VALPARAISO, Ind. — Bradley lost for the fifth time in its last six games and dropped to 0-3 in the Missouri Valley Conference in a 61-50 loss to Valparaiso at the Athletic Recreation Center.
The Braves (8-8, 0-3) trailed the entire game except for two brief early leads, shooting a season-low 31.5 percent. Valpo used an 18-2 first-half spurt to pull away to a 31-18 halftime lead.
The advantage grew to 15 before Bradley cut it to 50-45 on a Luuk van Bree drive and dunk at 2:38. But the Crusaders used a quick 5-0 run to assert control for good.
