Point guard Torres to join ISU basketball team

NORMAL — A busy week of adding players to Illinois State's basketball roster continued Saturday as Redbird head coach Dan Muller announced former Wichita State point guard Ricky Torres will be transferring to ISU.

Torres was a junior college all-American at Missouri State-West Plains before spending last season with the Shockers. He will have one year of eligibility with ISU.

"He's a special young man who is mature beyond his years. Ricky is a physical and talented point guard that brings experience, toughness, skill and leadership to our team next year," said Muller.
