MURFREESBORO, TN – Pitching ruled the day as Bradley Baseball earned a doubleheader split Sunday at Middle Tennessee State to complete the SAF Dirt Classic. After Bradley dropped a 1-0 decision in the opener, senior CF Andy Shadid delivered a RBI triple in the 10th inning, lifting the Braves (4-2) to a 2-1 victory in the nightcap.
Shadid's game-winner Friday came three days after he also came through with a 2-run single in the 10th inning of Thursday's 5-3 victory at Austin Peay.
Though the bullpen took a split on the day, Bradley's four relief pitchers Sunday combined to allow just one run on three hits with 11 strikeouts in their 11.
