PEORIA — The unofficial start of the Bradley basketball season — the Itoo Hall spaghetti dinner — was its usual sold-out, good-vibe scene Thursday night as the men’s and women’s teams were introduced following a carb-heavy meal.
One difference from past years, though, was the seniors on the men’s team said a few words beyond the usual introduction of themselves to the crowd of 500.
Peorian Peter Hanley, the former walk-on recently rewarded with a scholarship, got it started.
“On behalf of the team, I wanted to say how much we appreciate your loyalty to the program,” Hanley said.
