One and done? Missouri Valley basketball once again looks like a one-bid league

It’s beginning to look a lot like one bid.

That’s the way the Missouri Valley Conference is shaping up in its representation for the men’s basketball NCAA tournament based on the first month of nonconference play.

Wins over power conference or highly rated teams have been few and far between for the Valley this season.

And it’s reflected in the league’s NCAA NET rankings. Southern Illinois is first in the league at No. 94, followed by Drake at 95, Indiana State at 117, Loyola at 127, Bradley at 161, Evansville at 164, Illinois State at 198, Valparaiso at 203, Missouri State at 212 and UNI at 218.
