NORMAL — The status of Illinois State junior Keyshawn Evans was still unclear Monday.
Redbird coach Dan Muller said the junior point guard underwent an MRI on Monday on his left knee that was injured during Saturday's 75-71 victory over Evansville.
However, there was no word from Muller later in the day on the results.
ISU faces Southern Illinois in a key Missouri Valley Conference basketball game at 8 p.m. Thursday at Redbird Arena. The Redbirds (13-11 overall) are tied for third place in the league at 7-5, two games behind Loyola, while SIU (16-9, 8-4) is in second and a game out of the lead.
