NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State squared off against another nationally-ranked team in No. 66 in a crucial Summit League matchup Sunday morning. Unfortunately for the Redbirds they were not able to score the upset like they did against Creighton recently, and the Pioneers picked up a 6-1 win at the Gregory Street Courts to stay at the top of the conference standings.
Denver jumped out to a quick lead in the doubles with a win at the No. 3 spot, however the Redbirds knotted things up at the No. 1 spot as the team of Adrian Dibildox and Arvid Hjalte defeated Charlie Miller and Peter Sallay by a score of 6-4.
