CHARLESTON, Ill. – The No. 12 ranked Illinois State football team scored on its first drive of the game and never looked back, as the Redbirds (2-1) retained possession of the Mid-America Classic trophy with a 21-3 victory at O'Brien Field over the Eastern Illinois Panthers (0-3) Saturday in the 108th meeting between the two squads.
How It Happened:
• The Redbirds took the opening kickoff and marched methodically downfield, as James Robinson carried the ball six times for 54 yards and capped off the 7-play scoring drive with a 6-yard touchdown run to give ISU a 7-0 lead.
