NORMAL — The mutually beneficial recruiting pipeline from the Normal Community High School football program to Illinois State has another passenger.
Peter Bussone, a 6-foot-3, 295-pound offensive lineman, has committed to sign a national letter of intent with the Redbirds.
"It's in town and I really love the coaching staff, the atmosphere and the culture," Bussone said. "I really love where the football program is headed."
When he enrolls in the fall of 2018, Bussone will become the second ex-Ironmen among the ISU offensive lineman.
Garrett Hirsch, who will be a redshirt freshman for the coming season, is contending for the Redbirds' starting center position.
