PEORIA, Ill. -- Junior women's tennis player Natalia Barbery (Santa Cruz, Bolivia/Evert Tennis Academy) has been named the Bradley COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week after going undefeated at the season-opening NIU Huskie Invitational in DeKalb, Ill.
Barbery was a combined 5-0 during the opening weekend of the fall season for the Braves, going 3-0 in singles to play to claim the title of her singles flight in addition to teaming with Sandra Maletin to post a 2-0 doubles record to win the doubles flight title over teammates Bozana Lojpur and Malini Wijesinghe.
