ST. LOUIS – Bradley freshman Bozana Lojpur (Burnaby, BC/Burnaby Mountain Secondary School) has been named the first Missouri Valley Conference Singles Player of the Week for the 2019 dual match season, according to an announcement from the league office Tuesday afternoon.
With the Braves (1-0) playing short-handed due to illness (Natalia Barbery) and injury (Nina Marjanovic), Lojpur pulled out a 3-set victory at No. 2 Singles to help Bradley rally for a 4-3 win in its season-opener Sunday against Milwaukee. After dropping the first set, 6-3, Lojpur forced the extra frame with a 6-0 romp in the second set.
