CHESTERTON, Ind. – The opening round of the 2019 Missouri Valley Conference Women's Golf Championship has been postponed due to inclement weather forecast for Sunday according to an announcement by the league office Saturday.
With forecasts calling for overnight rain and snow coupled with high temperatures in the mid-30's along with wind gusts approaching 40 miles per hour, Sunday's opening round of the 2019 MVC Women's Golf Championship has been postponed and will now be played Monday.
The MVC Championship was scheduled to get underway Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. The three-day tournament will now be played over two days with the opening two rounds of the 54-hole event played Monday.
