NORMAL — If Zach Copeland was just a 3-point shooter, he still would be a valuable addition to Illinois State's basketball team the next two seasons.
However, Copeland's coach at City College of San Francisco and ISU coach Dan Muller said there is much more to the 6-foot-4, 185-pound guard's game than shooting from beyond the arc.
Muller announced Wednesday that Copeland has signed a national letter of intent to play with ISU. Copeland, who committed Saturday night during his official campus visit, will have two years of eligibility with the Redbirds beginning in the fall.
"The thing I like most about Zach is his competitiveness," said Muller.
