PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior runner Michael Ward (Cardiff, South Wales/Llanishen) has been named the Bradley COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after a record-breaking performance at the Washington Invitational in Seattle, Wash.
Ward broke the school record in the 3,000 meters, clocking a time of 7:57.88 at the Washington Invitational to break his own school mark in the event.
