BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois State men's tennis team came up short, 6-1, against Summit League-opponent Denver at the Bloomington Tennis Center on Friday.
Denver quickly picked up a 1-0 lead, after capturing wins in the No.1 and No. 2 spots of doubles.
The Pioneers earned four-straight victories with Matt Summers defeating Pol Botifoll Rius in second singles to secure the win. Aleksa Lazarevic overcame Daniel Krulig in flight five for the sole Redbird point of the match. The victory brought Lazarevic to 14-8 in his first season with the 'Birds.
