NORMAN, Okla. – The Illinois State men's golf team has been named a Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) All-Academic team for the 2018-19 athletic season.
To be eligible for the award, the cumulative team grade point average needed to be at 3.0 or above, and the Redbirds are one of 193 schools that have earned the honor from this past season.
Illinois State finished inside of the top-three at events eight times in 13 total events, including claiming victory at the Wisconsin Badger Invitational and the Purdue Boilermaker Invitational, while finishing in the top half of all teams in all but one event.
