Men’s Golf in Second Place After Day One of D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate

NORMAL, Ill. – After battling the cold and wind, the Illinois State men's golf team currently sits in second place on their home turf at the D.A Weibring Intercollegiate. The Redbirds shot a 30-over-par 598 through the first two rounds at the par-71, 6,915-yard Weibring Golf Club. Duke currently leads the 17-team field with a 19-over-par 587 through the first day.

Senior Zach Burry fired a 3-over-par 74 in the first round, followed by a 2-over-par 73 in the second round. The senior shot five birdies on the day to currently sit in seventh place on the individual leaderboard.
