Figuring out all of the potential seedings for the Missouri Valley Conference tournament in the regular season’s final week has long been challenging for those of us in the sportswriting business.
So we welcome someone like Matt Hackman, a 35-year-old Northern Iowa graduate who has put together a probability spreadsheet projecting all of the potential seeds for each Valley team.
And there are many. With one game remaining, there are only three spots determined, and those are the bottom three. The three Indiana schools have clinched the Nos. 8-10 seeds. Evansville is set at No. 10 and Valparaiso and Indiana State will either be 8 or 9.
