ST. LOUIS — Much as he did as a Bradley basketball player more than 20 years ago, Marcus Pollard ignited the crowd Friday morning as he accepted induction into the Missouri Valley Conference Hall of Fame.
And just as it wasn't outstanding basketball ability that most endeared him to Bradley fans, it wasn't Pollard's 14-year National Football League career that resonated during the induction ceremonies at Peabody Opera House.
It was his character and the strength of the message he spoke.
"Three things," Pollard said from the dais.
