PEORIA, IL – Jake Schoffstall scored his first career goal in the 33rd minute, but Bradley (2-6-2) allowed visiting Western Illinois (2-8-2) to find the equalizer in the 86th minute as the local rivals battled to a 1-1 draw Thursday night at Shea Stadium.
A freshman defender, Schoffstall netted his first goal on a corner kick play, emerging from a crowd to knock home the loose ball out of a scrum at the far post for a 1-0 Bradley lead at 32:04.
After Bradley outshot its visitor, 6-2, in the first half, Western Illinois continued to build momentum as the second half progressed.
