PEORIA, Ill. -- Sophomore guard Lasha Petree (Detroit, Mich./Arbor Prep) has been named the Bradley COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after averaging 30.0 points per game to help Bradley Women's Basketball open Missouri Valley Conference play with a pair of home victories.
Petree, who was named MVC Player of the Week Monday, shot 62.2 percent (23-for-37) from the field and also averaged 3.5 blocks per game as the Braves are 2-0 to open league play for just the seventh time in program history. She scored a game-high 24 points in the Valley opener against Evansville, connecting on 10-of-18 from the field in just 26 minutes of action.
