ST. LOUIS – Bradley redshirt junior defender Walid Kherat (Peoria, IL/Richwoods H.S.) continues to receive recognition for his performance in a pair of wins for the Braves last week, today being honored as the Missouri Valley Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, according to an announcement from the league office Wednesday morning.
Kherat contributed on both ends of the field as Bradley (3-0-1) earned a 1-0 victory Friday at IUPUI and came back with a 2-1 home win Sunday against Princeton in the 10th Danny Dahlquist Memorial Game. An anchor in Bradley's back line, Kherat helped the defensive effort that limited IUPUI (2) and Princeton (4) to a total of six shots on goal in the two games.
