ST. LOUIS – Illinois State senior guard Josiah Strong has earned a place on the Missouri Valley Conference All-Academic Team announced by the conference office on Thursday morning, as Strong was named to the second team.
He is a recreation and park administration major with a 3.62 grade point average, now in his second season with the Redbirds.
Strong averages 11.5 points per game with 104 rebounds and 66 assists and is shooting 41.7 percent from long range with a team-best 80 three-point makes on the year. His three-point percentage is the 22nd best in NCAA Division I while his 2.
