ST. LOUIS – Bradley icon Joe Stowell’s Missouri Valley Conference Hall of Fame induction speech Friday was short and sweet. But from the heart.
The 92-year-old former BU player, coach and broadcaster was one of six individuals honored as the Class of 2019. Stowell received the Paul Morrison Award, which goes to those who made significant contributions to their respective institutions, the conference or to athletics in general.
The breakfast event was held at the Stifel Theatre adjacent to Enterprise Center. The group was also introduced with their plaques prior to the noon game of the MVC tournament.
