PEORIA, IL – Maybe rest is overrated. Working on just three days rest since his start in Tuesday's win at Illinois, Bradley junior right-hander Mitch Janssen turned in a career-best performance in an emergency start Saturday, leading the Braves (26-10, 8-3 MVC) to a 2-0 victory against Missouri Valley Conference leader Missouri State (26-13, 9-2 MVC) at Dozer Park.
Janssen (4-0), who threw 72 pitches and exited with the lead in Tuesday's 5-4 victory at Illinois, struck out a career-best 10 and allowed only just two hits in his 6.2 innings of scoreless work Saturday.
