NORMAL — William Tinsley remembers coming to watch his first Illinois State basketball game with junior high school buddies while growing up in Colfax.
"We want to leave on a good note," said the Ridgeview High School graduate. "For our seniors we've got to play harder. It's more motivation."
Tinsley enjoyed a memorable Senior Day, scoring 11 points and hitting the game-winning 3-pointer Sunday as the Redbirds edged Drake. ISU plays its home finale at 6 p.m. Wednesday when it entertains Missouri Valley Conference co-leader Missouri State at Redbird Arena.
ISU snapped a five-game losing streak against Drake, improving to 15-14 overall and 8-8 in the league.
