With the Redbirds' season on the line Friday night in a Missouri Valley Conference Tournament quarterfinal game, coach Dan Muller looked to Idowu to help spark a comeback.
The 6-foot-9, 240-pound Idowu started the second half for only the second time this season. He joined Fayne, Milik Yarbrough, Keyshawn Evans and Josh Jefferson as ISU tried to battle back from a 37-17 deficit.
The Redbirds came up short as Drake took a 78-62 victory. But Idowu helped get ISU back where it, at least, had a chance.
Idowu finished with five points and two rebounds in 16 minutes.
