NORMAL — Illinois State All-American cornerback Davontae Harris was selected in the fifth round of the NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday.
The Wichita, Kan., native is the first Redbird chosen in the NFL Draft since tight end James O'Shaughnessy in 2015.
Harris is the first ISU defensive back to be drafted since Mike Prior went in the seventh round in 1985 and the highest Redbird defensive back tabbed since Estus Hood (3rd round) in 1978.
