NORMAL — Unseasonably warm early winter weather has kept snow off the ground surrounding Redbird Arena.
Inside Redbird Arena on Sunday, Illinois State could not keep Snow away from the basket.
Ever probing Missouri State senior guard Tyonna Snow riddled the Redbirds for a near triple-double and collaborated with the torrid outside shooting of Kenzie Williams to turn away ISU, 73-51, in the Missouri Valley Conference opener for both teams.
“I look for opportunities whenever I can see it,” Snow said. “If I can see the rim, I’m probably going to go to the basket. That’s what Coach Kellie (Harper) expects from me and what opens up my teammates.
