FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Having allowed a mere 10 points while winning its first two games, the Illinois State football team's defense is off to an encouraging start.

"We've definitely put some good things on tape. At the same time, we've got a high standard so we want to keep improving," Redbird cornerback Willie Edwards said. "There's definitely a lot of upside to our defense. We want to keep making plays and keep making everybody proud."

ISU defenders will get that opportunity wrapped in a monumental challenge Saturday in a 2 p.m. nonconference game against Colorado State at 41,000 capacity Canvas Stadium.
