NORMAL — Illinois State’s basketball team will face at least four nonconference opponents that appeared in the NCAA Tournament last season.
Belmont, UCF, Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky played in the NCAA Tournament, while another opponent, TCU, played in the NIT. Six opponents won 20 or more games last season.
“I’m excited about our nonconference schedule,” said head coach Dan Muller. “It is challenging and will prepare us for the tough Missouri Valley Conference season.
"There is a great mix of home, road, and neutral site games against quality opponents, and I’m really looking forward to seeing how our team handles these opportunities.
