Iowa Starts Fast in 12-1 Win

IOWA CITY, IA - On a cold and blustery evening at Duane Banks Field, Iowa (11-8) started hot and rode its quick start to a 12-1 victory versus Bradley (6-12) Tuesday. The Hawkeyes scored six runs in both the first and third innings, then let seven pitchers combine for a 4-hitter.

Senior LF Spencer Gaa collected two of Bradley's four hits, highlighted by a RBI double in the third inning. After pushing across six runs on four hits, a walk, a hit by pitch and an error in the bottom of the first, Iowa answered Gaa's run-scoring double with six more runs in the bottom of the third.
