A seven-run fifth inning led visiting Illinois State to a 14-1 victory against the Bradley baseball team on Saturday night at Dozer Park. The Braves are now 29-16 overall during the season with a 9-8 Missouri Valley Conference record, while the Redbirds improve to 30-20 and 12-5 in league action.
The teams played an even first four innings with each school plating one run. Illinois State scored off an error in the top of the first with Bradley responding in the bottom of the fourth when Eli Rawlinson hit a sacrifice fly.
Illinois State, however, would open up the game with seven runs in the top of the fifth.
