NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State head coach Dan Muller has announced the signing of current high school senior Alston Andrews to a National Letter of Intent to compete for Illinois State starting in the 2020-21 basketball season.
Andrews is an athletic 6-9 forward from Ocoee High School near Orlando, Florida. He missed the entire season in 2018-19 with an injury. He played in the summer for Game Speed Elite. During the summer's Elite 32 Andrews averaged nearly 10 rebounds per game.
"I couldn't be more excited about adding a young man like Alston Andrews to the Redbird Family," said Muller.
